Welcome to the ghost-trains website

on Brighton Station &

The old Locomotive Works.

This website contains a comprehensive history of this area from humble beginnings, right up to the present day along with old and new maps, photos, diagrams and as much descriptive text as possible.

This website is the final end product of a 9 year project to chart the changes which have occured on this massive site and originally started life due to the imminent demolition and clearence of the area in 2003. I thought I should go and have a nose around the place before it disappeared forever!

Due to the vast amount of information available, it has been quite difficult figuring out how to present it. There are 7 tabs at the top of the page, which will in turn take you onto pages which contain more specific sub-menus. It is also worth noting that the site is not fully completed yet so there are some items which are awaiting completion (more specifically the "onebrighton" project) and also that, as with all of the ghost-trains websites, this is very much work in progress and as such an ongoing project!

I hope you enjoy what I have put together so far and continue to join me on my quest as ghost-trains grows and develops.

Don't forget that we cover all manner of railways and abandonned buildings in other locations. Please log into our main web page at:
